Black Horse Riders will be debuting new material from their upcoming debut album- due out later this year. The show starts at 9:30pm. Tickets are available at the door, and Googie's Lounge is located on the second floor of The Living Room on 154 Ludlow Street between Rivington and Stanton. Black Horse Riders, a newly formed Post-Apocalyptic Rock group, is currently in-studio recording in Upstate New York. The band was founded by former members of Verdes, Roland Hasbrouck (vocals) and T. Curtis-Verderosa (guitar). Their album is being produced by the acclaimed producer Kevin McMahon of Marcata Studios (Titus Andronicus, The Walkmen). Since 2005, song writing duo Curtis-Verderosa (guitar) and Hasbrouck (vocals) have been creating great music together. Their latest work tells tales of a journey before and after a “Great Change.” The songs serve as image-laden jumping-off points for universal themes of anguish and redemption. It is music that speaks to anyone with a heart and a soul. Curtis-Verderosa and Todd Carter of The Looking also have been a song-writing duo and have written tracks for the up-coming Mobile Wash Unit release “Tent.” Todd Carter is currently recording a much anticipated third album from his solo project, The Looking. This after earning praise from last year’s 2009 release of “Cabinet of Curiosities,” and debut album “Tin Can Head” back in 2005. A New York City transplant, Carter combines his talents as a singer, producer, and composer.
